Tuchel’s jaw dropped: “I’m so happy to have Kim Min-jae…a real man”

Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel has expressed his excitement over the signing of Kim Min-jae.

“I’m very happy that he’s here,” Tuchel said on Monday (July 19), the day the club announced the signing, according to Maximilian Coach, who covers Bayern Munich news.

“I had a few video calls with him,” he said, emphasizing that “he is a real man and he is ready.

On July 19, Bayern Munich officially announced the signing of Kim Min-jae, who will wear the number 3 shirt and sign a contract until 2028. The transfer fee was not disclosed, but local media speculated that the club paid a buyout of €50 million.

The move to Bayern Munich had been rumored for several weeks.

Local media in Germany and Italy, including transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, reported that Kim’s move to Bayern Munich had been finalized.

However, it wasn’t until today that the official announcement was made, as Kim completed his basic military training and Bayern Munich paid the transfer fee to Napoli.

“I want to replace Luka Hernandez and it’s no longer a secret who is coming,” Tuchel indirectly told Kim Min-jae at the official pre-season press conference on Nov. 16.

“I’m not going to say a definite name right now because it’s not helpful to say it directly. We will try to announce (the signing of Kim Min-jae) in the next few days.” Romano added, “The player Tuchel was referring to is Kim Min-jae. The buyout clause has been triggered and the medical has been completed.”

Bayern Munich brought in Kim as a replacement for their starting center back, Luca Hernandez, after he left for Paris Saint-Germain. As a replacement for Hernandez, it is clear that Tuchel will utilize him as a starter.

“Bayern Munich is every footballer’s dream,” said Kim, “and I’m looking forward to everything that awaits me at Bayern Munich. It’s a new beginning for me, and I’ll continue to develop here. When I spoke to the club, it was clear from the start how much interest they had in me.”

“My first goal is to play a lot of games,” he concluded, “but beyond that I want to win as many titles as possible.”

Jan Christian Dresden, CEO of Bayern Munich, said: “Kim has made a huge step forward. He impressed us not only with his physical presence but also with his mental strength and speed. We are delighted that he can start preparing immediately and are confident that he will inspire our fans with his style of play.”

Prior to Bayern Munich’s announcement, Kim said goodbye to his former club on social media, writing, “Thank you Napoli fans for your love and support.” 메이저놀이터

“Thanks to your support, we were able to win the league title after 33 years since the days of Diego Maranella. I would like to thank the Napoli organization, my teammates, and the fans. Wherever I go, I will remember and support Napoli.”

Following the signing of Kim, Bayern Munich will begin a preseason tour of Japan on Sept. 26. The Bavarians will face Champions League defending champions Manchester City and Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale. In August, the team will head to Singapore. A match against Liverpool is scheduled.
