Nadal praises junior Alcaraz: “Enjoy this moment”
Grand Slam V22 shining star Rafael Nadal has words of praise for new Wimbledon champion Alcaraz.
Wimbledon top seed Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) was shaky, dropping the first set in just 34 minutes, but battled back to win the match in five full sets. It was the first time in 21 years that a player outside the Big Four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic) had won the title since Leighton Hewitt (AUS) in 2002. 토토체험머니
After the match, former World No. 1 Rafael Nadal tweeted, “Congratulations Alcaraz! I’m sure the pioneer of Spanish tennis, Mr. (Manuel) Santana, is blessing you. Enjoy this moment,” he wrote on his official Twitter account, praising his junior’s feat. Santana is a Spanish tennis legend who won the tournament in 1966. Alcaraz became the third Spanish player to win Wimbledon, joining Santana and Nadal.
Nadal, who praised Alcaraz, has been off the tour since injuring his left hip at the Australian Open in January. In a press conference at his Rafael Nadal Academy in May, he hinted at his retirement from the sport after next season.
