‘Is there hope for Tottenham?’…Kane faces Postecoglou→”Why not re-sign?” All-out war

As Tottenham striker Harry Kane prepares for his first meeting with Tottenham manager Enzi Postecoglou, there is a glimmer of hope for the club.

With trophy aspirations and one of the highest salaries in the Premier League on the line, more attention is being paid to Kane’s future.

“Kane has told Postecoglou he is open to all options,” the Daily Mail reported on Wednesday.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer. Kane is Tottenham’s “living legend,” having scored 280 goals in 435 official games and 213 goals in 317 Premier League games during his 11 seasons with the club, but he has yet to win a trophy with the club.

Spurs finished eighth in the 2022/23 season and failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, and their chances of winning a major trophy in 2023/24 have fallen significantly, leading to speculation that Kane wants out.

Currently, the most likely destination is Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are currently at the top of their list for a frontline striker and are actively pursuing Kane. They have already made a formal offer, and after a €70 million bid was rejected, they made an improved offer worth €80 million.

However, Tottenham are adamant that they cannot let Kane go and are not happy with Munich’s current offer. Chairman Daniel Levy reportedly wants a guaranteed fee of at least €100 million ($143.2 million) for Kane’s transfer, and the club has recently been reported to be pushing to re-sign him.

“Kane could earn £400,000 ($670,000) a week if he stays at Tottenham,” the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported on Nov. 11, suggesting that Tottenham is planning a new deal with a huge pay rise for Kane, who is considered the best player in the club’s history.

“Munich are keen to sign Kane this summer, but Levy has not given up hope of persuading him to re-sign,” the publication said, adding, “While Kane has not yet indicated a desire to re-sign, Tottenham are understood to be prepared to pay him £400,000 a week.”

Amid the speculation that Kane may be keeping his options open between staying at Tottenham and a move to Munich, further fueling hopes that Spurs could keep him 토토.

According to the Daily Mail, “Kane will meet Postecoglou to discuss his future at Tottenham. Levy is keen to resolve the thorny issue of Kane’s future and the player is keeping an open mind ahead of his return to pre-season training. “He is training in the midst of uncertainty with Munich wanting to sign him,” Levy said of Kane’s current situation.

“Kane is looking forward to meeting Postecoglou. He is keeping all options open and will enter into discussions with Postecoglou despite the strong interest from Munich. He is in a very favorable position and knows that even if he does not sign a deal this time, he can leave on a free transfer next year to one of Europe’s top clubs,” said the source, explaining that while Kane is open to all options, he is in a very favorable position to negotiate with Spurs.

“The fact that Kane has no set preconceived notions about his future should give hope to Tottenham, who will not want to lose him for nothing,” the outlet said. Postecoglou has made it clear that he wants Kane to stay, and with Kane unlikely to actively pursue a move, he has a chance to persuade him,” he said, adding that neither the manager nor the player are in a position where they want to leave.

With Kane’s openness and Tottenham’s hopes of keeping him at the club growing, it will be interesting to see what kind of offer Munich, who want to bring him back, can come up with to sway him and Spurs once again.
