“Delete the video quickly” Man Utd humiliation, bubble controversy ongoing
Manchester United fans react to Anthony’s video.
Manchester United won 1-0 away to Bournemouth in the 37th round of the 2022-2023 English Premier League on Tuesday (Jan. 20). With 69 points, the Red Devils remain in fourth place and have virtually guaranteed themselves a spot in next season’s European Champions League.
United released a video of Anthony’s individual performance against Bournemouth on social media on Nov. 22. Anthony collided with Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly after receiving the ball on his chest in front of the right touchline.
He rolled the ball back and appeared to turn past Kelly in style, but Kelly quickly realized Anthony’s intentions and regained possession. Anthony was lucky to get a foul, but it was an embarrassing moment for United fans.
Anthony, who arrived at United in the final days of last summer’s transfer window, has been the subject of bubble controversy all season, and it’s still ongoing. United manager Louis van Gaal spent a lot of money on Anthony, a former Ajax favorite.
The transfer was eventually finalized for a fee of £85 million. However, he hasn’t gotten his money’s worth. He scored just four goals this season. 먹튀검증
Fans have been vocal about the video, saying things like “what the hell, delete this,” “we paid £90 million for this,” and “delete this before your opponents see it.
United won through Casemiro’s goal in the ninth minute of the first half. Anthony played 86 minutes before being replaced by Fred.
