Bucheon’s Ahn Jae Joon shakes hands with his family “I’m motivated…I’m glad I scored”

By Cho Hyo-jong Reporter= Bucheon FC1995 striker Ahn Jae-jun shared his feelings about scoring a goal and securing the win in front of his family.

Bucheon defeated Gimpo FC 2-0 in the 15th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 at Bucheon Sports Complex in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, on Sept. 29. With the three points, Bucheon (25 points) moved up to fourth place, closing in on third-place Gimpo (26 points), which suffered its first defeat in 13 matches.

Ahn Jae-jun was the hero of the match. Ahn drew a penalty kick in the fifth minute of the second half as he penetrated into the penalty box. The ball hit the arm of an opposing defender who was blocking him, and after a video assistant referee (VAR) review, a penalty kick was awarded. Ahn stepped up to take the spot kick and aimed for the left side of the goal. The ball sailed past goalkeeper Lee Sang-wook and into the net. Bucheon then added a late goal from Park Hyung-jin in the 40th minute to secure a valuable victory.

Speaking in the post-match mix zone, Ahn said, “Gimpo is a very tricky team to play against. They are definitely solid and play a lot. I’m happy that we got a two-goal win against Gimpo, who are unbeaten and have conceded the fewest goals. It was physically difficult because of the hot weather, but we did a good job with our preparation.” 토토사이트

Ahn scored from the penalty spot for the first time in his three-year K League career. He showed his determination to finish, and his teammates gave him the opportunity. When asked about it, Ahn said, “That’s right. It’s the first time. The original kicker was Nilsson Junior, and (Lee) Jung-bin could also kick. Previously, I drew the penalty and gave it to Karyl, but this time I said I wanted to kick it. My brothers said yes, so I was grateful for the opportunity to take it. It was my first time in the K League, but I’m not bad at taking penalties, so I took it confidently.”

On this day, Bucheon invited the families of the players to the stadium. The players held hands with their families and entered the field together. At halftime, there was also a family event. Ahn’s mother, who participated in the event, delivered a message of support for her son’s goal in the second half.

“My parents and relatives came,” says Ahn. They come to the stadium almost every home game, but today was different because they escorted me and walked on the field with me. It was motivating,” he said. When he shared his mother’s message of support, she replied, “I saw your picture in the halftime event. I’m glad you made it. I would have gotten in trouble if I didn’t,” he laughed.
